No planet is that similar to Earth like Venus. The Venusian climate is not comparable to the terrestrial one. Carbon Dioxide dominates the Venusian atmosphere, but still there is some place for puzzling minor species. The Venusian lower atmosphere contains Sulphur Dioxide and its origin is only explainable by volcanic activity. Passive and active emissions are possible. This work reprocess vertical profiles obtained by in-situ missions.
