Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) is a tool to assess the impacts of a developmental projects on the environment prior to the initiation of the project. Hence the adverse impacts can be reduced by taking adequate precautions. Thus EIA helps the project proponents and authorities to take care of environmental issues during developmental planning and activities.
