Energy is a vital factor in industrial and domestic production; it is also the life boat of any nation?s economic development. Shortage of electric power will not only compromise social comfort level but will seriously impede on the economic growth of a nation. Lighting is a typical application of energy in the form of electrical energy. The need for lighting devices has drastically increased overtime to the present 21st century, which has in turn increased the amount of electrical power consumed by lighting. The use of lighting sources with high luminous efficacy in other words a lighting device with much light OUT and few watts IN is a combination that would be recommended for use. With this the unnecessary power consumption of from the lighting sector would be minimized and used effectively in other energy sectors.
