This book creates understanding of edge detection techniques, shows surveys of image segmentation techniques and creates a general understanding of neural network application to medical images and medical diagnosis and finally the development of a novel approach to the extraction region of interest of the sinus area in CT images to aid the diagnosis of abnormalities in the image which would be important in Cancer diagnosis and also would be useful in training junior doctors.
