The present investigation deals with the detailed cytomorphologial studies of two mutants in M3 generation. The mutant A and mutant B showed 88% and 90% seed germination a respectively as compared to control where it was noted 92%. There was significant increase in positive shifting in mean of fertile branches, leaf area, and number of flowers, number of seeds/pod, number of seed/plant and hundred seed weight. Days to first flower open and days to 50% flowering showed negative shifting in mean in both the mutants. The coefficient of variability showed significant increase in mutant A and control B than control. The cytological investigation of control showed stickiness, and disturbed polarity at metaphase-I and telophase-II stages respectively. The mutant showed 0.75% multivalent and precocious separation at metaphase and 1.50% and 0.5% stickiness and fragments. Cytomixis was also reported in mutant A. while as mutant B showed 1.70% stickness 0.97% precocious separation, 0.48% fragments and o.24% multivalent. The mutant A showed bridges 0.75%, non-disjunction 1%, laggards and unequal separation 0.25%at anaphase I.
