Working in the area of Solid State Spectroscopy with special interest on characterization and laser analysis of different rare earth ions doped borate, phosphate, tellurite glass systems and phosphor materials. I have studied structural, thermal and optical roperties of rare earth doped bismuth borate glasses using various techniques XRD, SEM, TG-DTA, optical absorption, photoluminescence and decay curves. In this work, I have concentrated on optical properties of rare earth glassy materials like spectral intensities, radiative transition probabilities, radiative lifetimes, branching ratios, integrated absorption cross-sections and emission cross-sections. The main motto of this work is to develop the precise investigations of rare earth doped glassy materials for their use in lasing materials and also to identify the new lasing transitions.
