Gibberellic acid treatment gave lowest fruit weight because GA3 works at low concentration but in present study the concentration of GA3 used was higher. This high concentration of GA3 shows negative effect on fruit characteristics. The foliar sprayed treatment of KNO3 improved plant height at harvest, fruit weight, fruit volume, fruit length and fruit girth, total soluble sugars, reducing sugars, potassium content and lycopene. Whereas foliar sprayed treatment of silicic acid improved yield and plant protection attributing characters. Overall it can be concluded that the pre harvest treatment of potassium nitrate and silicic acid were the best treatment to obtain excellent nutraceutical quality of fruits as well as yield attributes.
