These studies incorporate the clinical outcomes and the reduction in hospital admission rate and emergency visits in large number of tuberculosis patients. Awareness regarding the appropriate use of medications is an important aspect of this book for effective treatment. Thus, there is a need for an integrated approach to facilitating compliance that addresses the patient?s motivation to follow treatment advice as well as their ability to do so. The finding of this study may suggest that a well-structured tuberculosis patient counseling by clinical pharmacist regarding their disease and medications may be effective to change the health attitudes, health behaviors, to provide emotional support and encouragement which can lead to better compliance to the treatment regimens.
