Boron is an essential nutrient element for growth of all higher plants nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria. Its deficiency and toxicity can lead many anatomical, physiological and biochemical changes. Present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of boron on seed germination and plant growth of brinjal (Solanum melongena L.). Brinjal (egg plant) is an important vegetable crop of Gujarat. The soil of Gujarat is drought prone, so boron availability might get affected by soil moisture. So it is important to check the effect of nutrient applied by foliar application, which can lead a way for improve plant quality.
