Anti-emetic Efficacy Against Cuso4 Induced Emesis in Chicks: Brassica Nigra, Brassica Hirta, Trachyspermum Ammie, Mentha Piperita and Coriandrum Sativum
Saba Khalid
Antiemetic investigation showed that aqueous extract of C. sativum, M. piperita, T. ammie and B. nigra have high potential to control the frequency of emesis in CuSO4 induced emesis in chicks. Frequency of retching after treatment of aqueous extract of C. sativum was 10.7+- 0.89, M. piperita was 28.4±0.89, T. ammine was 34.4±0.89 and B. nigra was 41.4 ±0.89. Statically aqueous extract of C. sativum showed the best efficacy in controlling emesis (10.7±0.89). While result of B. hirta statically showed insignificant result (87.6±1.77).
