Impact of National Leprosy Eradication Programme: a Study from Maharashtra State of India Rajsinh Mohite

In India, in year 2000, Leprosy services were integrated into general health care services which leads the most peripheral health care workers became key person for proper implementation/provision of leprosy services. The successfulness of any public health programme depends upon active community participation, attitude of health care system and health care provider as well as good political will. Through this book I would to highlight the leprosy situation in Satara district of satate Maharashtra, India. Peripheral health care providers, leprosy patients and their family members, community members were involved and their role was assessed in this study.
