Performance Management is an important tool to measure individuals, groups, and institutions achievement with regard to the stated objectives or targets of an organization. It is also a holistic approach and interrelated process of the entire system of an organization in measuring achievements towards their prior designed objectives. The purpose of the study was organized to identify and examine the magnitude of performance management implementation in the public secondary schools of Addis Ababa. In doing so, the data was analyzed by using the statistically accepted method of ANOVA- test and Chi-square test in order to identify the major factors that hinder the implementation of performance management in the schools.
