This book covers step by step approach for development of Transmit-Receive Module for 430 MHz RADAR Wind Profiler. RADAR is the acronym for RAdio Detection And Ranging. Radar in addition to the detection and characterization of hard targets to probe the soft or distributed targets such as the earth?s atmosphere. The atmospheric radars of interest to the current study are known as clear air radars and they operate typically in the VHF (30-300 MHZ) and UHF (300MHZ-3GHZ) bands. The turbulent fluctuations in the refractive index of the atmosphere serve as a target for these radars. Indian MST Radar is operating at 53MHZ (VHF) frequency and Low Atmospheric Wind profiling radar is operating at 1.28GHZ (UHF) frequency to study the characteristics of high quality wind estimates in the presence of clutter. The main aim of this book is to develop Transmit-Receive module working at 430MHZ frequency. Commercially available packaged RF MOSFET Amplifier module RA45H4047M is used in this project. The RA45H4047M is a 45 Watt RF MOSFET Amplifier module for 12.5 volt that operates in 400-470 MHZ range. We present a detailed description of the development of the TR Module.
