The prime purpose of this book is to present, how to geomorphic features are control the urban expansion of any town, which is situated in plateau or/and hilly region. Author has selected the Sagar Town of Madhya Pradesh, India for this work. A short glance is presented on the physiography, soil, geology, geomorphology, and hydro-meteorology, which are based on geographical information system and satellite remote sensing techniques. The basic concept of remote sensing / GIS based population estimation methods, and urban land use classification system is also presented in the book.
