Many analyses from the diverse configurations of an Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) have been carried out, but only few of them have been focused on an exergetic and exergoeconomic point of view. These two aspects together with the economic and environmental benefits of producing electricity using the IGCC technology were the main motivation for book. This book has been focused mainly on the thermodynamic evaluation and analysis of a coal-fired IGCC Power plant with a Pre-Combustion technology, being the Exergetic and Exergoeconomic Analysis the final outcome of this work. Involves the simulation of an entire IGCC plant, starting from the Coal Sizing or Milling Plant up to the Carbon Dioxide capture. The Gasifier, formerly known as Texaco will be integrated in a Combined Cycle to produce 600 MW of electricity. The Exergetic and Exergoeconomic analysis were conducted in Matlab® after carrying out a stationary simulation of the IGCC Power Plant using the ASPEN Plus® V7.1 simulator software. The economic and exergoeconomic analysis are focused on the combined cycle part of the IGCC Power Plant. At the end, an economical analysis is presented with real costs estimations.
