Increasing reused of saline drainage water, industrial waste water and sewage water (due to the scarcity of fresh irrigation water) led to decline in soil productivity of different crops. One of the well known salt-affected soils in Egypt is El-Hosinia plain area. El-Hosinia plain is located in the northeastern part of the Nile Delta, Sharkia Governorate, Egypt, and the reuse of waste water in agriculture such as Bahr El-Baqar drain channel has been practiced. So, chemical remediation of the chemically degraded soils, i.e. saline-sodic and heavy metals polluted soils (El-Hosinia plain soils) is thought to be effective in this study.
