Internal migration has been a necessity since time immemorial. In present context internal migration in India is increasing at an exponential rate due to different drivers and accelerators of migrations there by leading in pronouncing various migrant workers issues to be given priority amongst social problems. An attempt has also been made through this work to analyse migrant workers issues from holistic perspective. Since the majority of migrant workers tend to work in unorganized sector of agriculture and mining, this paper also focuses on critically analysing the Labour Laws in India dealing with the internal migration in these two sectors. The research proves and demands that the problem of internal migration be declared a national problem and to resolve migrant worker issues a multi-pronged strategy involving socio-political and economic inputs be evolved.
