This is an assessment of the current condition of the Nigerian textile industry in the context of the ability of local mills to produce traditional fabrics which reflect Nigeria's vibrant culture and industrial mills which strive to uphold the country's economy. The assessment led to suggestions and routes in which Nigeria can take to attain thrust in its textile industry to an international level that contributes positively to its economy without losing the traditional aspects and techniques of its produce as it a symbol of national culture.
