Globally road traffic accidents are widely recognized as a major threat to life. In Bangladesh annual road traffic accident costs about 2% of GDP. To know more about the road safety situation in the capital of Bangladesh, read this book. There are many types of roads in Dhaka and they have different accident characters. Dhaka is a densely populated mega city with only 1285 kilometers of road network in which collector and arterial roads occupy 331 kilometers. There are 200 major road intersections of different category, which includes 33% accidents. This book implies of road accident types in different road intersections of Dhaka metropolitan area. The study finds out who are the most vulnerable road user group, what type of traffic circulation is the maximum at all the intersections. All of the analyzed intersections are found to be black spots except one Tee-junction.
