Untreated sewage effluents contain toxic materials, heavy metals and excess amount of salts and their application adversely affects on soil, water quality and ultimately on human health. Field investigation was made to quantify the extent of groundwater contamination and to evaluate the impact of wastewater irrigation on soil degradation in local environment. Variables studied were pH, EC, SAR, RSC, TDS, soil texture, O. M% and heavy metals like Mn, Ni, Cr, Pb, Cu, Co, Fe and Zn and the results are presented in this book. This book certainly enhance learning among researcher, scientists, students and farm mangers on the impact of wastewater irrigation on the local community and helps planning research studies in sustaining environment for the survival of humanity on this globe before its too late.
