Through his investigation of Paul?s theology of election, Sigurd Grindheim contributes to the discussion regarding Paul and contemporary Judaism precipitated by the new perspective.

This work is a revised and expanded version of the author?s dissertation, "Paul?s Critique of the Jewish Confidence in the Election of Israel in 2 Corinthians 11:16?12:10 and Philippians 3:1?11."

The dissertation was accepted by the faculty of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Theological Studies in December 2002.
