She felt so different from everyone and had lots of very scary thoughts and feelings. The Girl with the Curly Hair hopes that teenage autistic girls who read this book will feel much less alone. She hopes this book will help any neurotypical people who love or work with teenage autistic girls, in developing more understanding and empathy for how a child might be experiencing a very, very overwhelming time of life.
