A story of a girl & her wolf. A journey like no other... Melody hadn't always been a werewolf. It was a curse, the other side of a magical deal that her parents had struck with a shaman when they found out she had cancer. She was cured, for a time. And in that time she befriended a beautiful, white wolf who was bound to her soul, an extension of herself that she comes to know as her friend. But when Melody's illness returns, she finds herself in a desperate scramble to save the life of her wolf. She must go to Echo Cove, and seek out the shaman who cursed her-but to get to him, she must cross through the territory of the Billy brown wolves, under the rule of their notorious leader, Manofield. They want the white wolf, and will stop at nothing until the last of her kind is under their control. To defeat her enemies, Melody must seek help from Blaine Chorus, the handsome, local ranger who gives her a reason to fight on, even in the face of her impending death.
