Steps of the Goddess is the true story of a high-spirited, uncompromising, and strong-willed ten year-old girl named Yee. She was born in the China during spring season and wasbrought up in Kowloon, Hong Kong in the early 1950's. When Yee turned ten she heard a man's voice while doing her morning prayers at a Catholic school. She was told that she would always be protected no matter what happened. In 1989 the voice told her she must go through life with all its ups and downs and share it with the world! That was her assignment and it was reaffirmed in 2006. She had to put part of her assignment on paper. This book retraces some of her happiest - and most desperate - moments as she compromised her true nature for the people she loved in exchange for their love and acceptance. This is her first book outlining what she had to do to find balance in her life. A tomboy at heart, she learned slowly how to find her feminine self through following the Steps of the Goddess Kuan Yin.
