This set of short stories covers several centuries, from the days of of a poor Spanish colony, to our days of space endeavors, most of them conceived and implemented in Texas, together with some of the most significant biographical data of some of the people who shaped the history of Texas. Indians, Catholic priests, mariners, generals, farmers and underworld figures, all claimed a place in the annals of the state. This author was not born in Texas, but he got here, as soon as he could, embracing wholeheartedly the Texas culture and traditions, hopeful that some day he would be considered a Texan.
