Nissa, her siblings, Madoc, Carys and a group from the Stronghold in Solwintor set out for the journey east across the Great Sea to that unknown continent. As they pass through the manor in Leara, they add two more travelers. And when they stop in Fairhaven. Gareth and Rees join the growing party. Besides the books, the expedition hopes to determine what technology still exists anywhere in Fartek. What will they find? What people? How much have they preserved? And why haven't they contacted the people of Leara or Solwintor? Most important, will they be willing to share all that they know with the visitors or anyone else?
