Beyond the Wild
Tess Weston
The story begins in the year, 1958, when Julie, the main character, was born in a small town, Hinesville, Tennessee. The author tells the story of a naïve, petite, fun-loving country girl, named Julie, who had no idea what life was going to be like after leaving her blue jeans in Hinesville, where her longest relationship had been no more than five minutes. Julie, even at an early age, knew she would someday be leaving Tennessee to go elsewhere and that is exactly what she does. Julie and Forest, her boyfriend in Hinesville, with whom she shared a deep secret, felt they had been connected since their umbilical cords were cut. The reader is invited to travel with Tess on her journey through the 70's and 80's, when women struggled in a male, egotistically-dominated workplace and where high testosterone wrote the men's resumes.
