Created for Batman fans as well as scholars, this revised master's thesis chronicled Batman across various media. This study revealed his lore is a working modern myth, and proved how Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight reflected a post-9/11 world. Some aspects utilized in this body of work were: - generic criticism, - semiotics, - film noir, - The P. A. T. R. I. O. T. Act, - terrorism, - vigilantism, - the ticking bomb scenario, and - the prisoner's dilemma.
