It is my pleasure to present the first edition of the book titled 'Inferential Statistics'. The book provides an insight into elementary inferential statistical methodologies including probability and sampling techniques. The content elaborates statistical methods that are significantly useful in science and engineering undergraduate courses; engrossing basic concepts and applications of statistical techniques in scientific, research and industrial applications. With this first edition, I have tried to meet the expectations of the students by explaining the text and related theory right from the elementary level. With a substantial emphasis on conceptual knowledge, the book provides working methodologies with sufficient number of illustrative examples. Practicing students and budding scientists will find it pragmatic in research related application problems. Level of the book has been kept moderately rudimentary and plain sailed to provide its' readers with lucidity and perceptibility. An exuberant attempt has been made for the students to comprehend and develop an envision for the concepts exemplified. It is hoped that this book would be determinedly advantageous to the tutees and prove to be serviceable.
