This is a compilation of poems written over a span of more than fifty years from my early twenties to my 75th birthday. Spectre, the very first poem in this book of poetry, is actually one of my latest and was written in the style of Leonard Cohen's metric verse "Nevermind." To me, it represents the culmination of my vision of the metaphysical realities of life. Many of the poems presented here are the products of decades of contemplative thought and the study of mysticism and metaphysics. Other poems reflect my scientific quest to understand the principles of holography and quantum physics, Einstein's enigmatic conception of space and time. Some poems, however, capture the special moments spent with loved ones, or share precious gems of wisdom from life to love. You may find it interesting to discover that one of my poems "April Rain's Bliss," (one of my personal favorites) was actually written on the back of a shovel while I was working in my garden. My poetic expressions rely heavily on metaphor, symbolism and mythology. Speaking through the lens of associational imagery, they explore the complexities of perception, how and why we see the way we see. My hope is that these poems may bring you into closer contact with the most personal private places of your feelings and emotions, and take you on a journey into the esoteric mysteries of life. Overall, this volume of poetry ponders the meaning of life, what makes our lives more than sands in the hourglass of time and the mystique which never ends! Blessings, Nahu
