It's Egypt's fourth dynasty, and here in the birthplace of civilization the Pharaoh Khufu rules over the world's most powerful kingdom. Under the majestic reign of 'The Bloodline of the Kings' and the ever-watchful eyes of the gods, mankind flourishes. Art and creativity abound and advancements in medicine and science are blossoming. The sacred art of mummification is being mastered, and Egypt is alive with wonder as magnificent monuments appear almost overnight. By decree of the great pharaoh Khufu - god's divine hand on earth, the plateau of Giza is now blessed with the most magnificent shrine ever created. Soaring above the horizon, the world's greatest monument towers over the desert, and all Egypt rejoices at its splendor. ...but nothing is as it seems. Under the new shadow of the great pyramid, the cloth of Khufu's noble house is starting to unravel. Secrets and corruption plague the royal family and a strange curse, the curse of the crystal scarab, is creating turmoil for the mighty pharaoh. As his personal life begins to tatter, it seems his once unified kingdom is now being torn between the ancient philosophies of old and the new breed of Egyptians. When a mysterious soothsayer appears and predicts a dire prophecy, Khufu's secret curse is re-awakened. No longer hidden in the shadows of his nightmares the Pharaoh's curse begins to manifest, and the once fearless Khufu is left to face the true mortality of his existence.
