When she finds a manuscript in a hidden compartment of her new home, she becomes inspired by the author named Joy. When Joy is diagnosed with cancer, she decides to have a baby. She writes her story, and dedicates it to the son she hopes to meet. Unsure whether Joy is alive, Melinda begins a quest to find Joy's son, and through her journey, she finds hope, and what seems to be the perfect love story.
