This is a short guidebook to Twee Pop, a subgenre of Indie Rock. This book will venture into the history, soundstyle, fashion, psychology and sociology of Twee Pop. With an A-Z of the subgenre's best albums, giving an introduction to its best and most iconic sounds and an 'if you love this subgenre you may also love...' section providing a route to other genres and subgenres, this book is a must for music lovers looking to expand their knowledge. This book exists because there is no book that I know of in existence that has similar designs. I would have loved to discover this guide when I was a budding youthful crate digger. The book is an off-shoot from the mother-ship book: It's all about the Music - the A-Z of Music Genres and Beyond, an extensive foray into all the aspects of different music genres of past and present. This smaller specific guide is in fact the first in a series of short guides to specific subgenres, subgenres that have little written about them or are thoroughly misunderstood. The aim of this book, and its series, is to try and educate people, in the hope of changing public opinion about the musical styles being discussed. Other books will follow - the next in line will be about Spiritual Jazz, another subgenre that only the Japanese seem to be writing about.
