Retired, bored and a little lonely Thurston decides to write a book. He plans a tell-all tale about what it's like to grow old. In it, he decides, he will defiantly voice his own down-to-earth concerns about where old folks fit in today's rapidly changing technical environment and the media that fosters rude and hateful society. But his struggles as a first time author lead him to find unexpected meaning and direction for his protagonist and ultimately for his own life.
