POW 921 tells the story of an Australian Digger captured in Singapore, 1942. He spends a year in Changi as a slave laborer for the Japanese before being sent by train to the Burma Railway in Thailand. Later he is shipped to Japan where he is put to work mining coal for Mitsui. You will be right there as he and his fellow POW's suffer the terrible torture, hunger, and other indignities meted out by the Japanese, knowing that they could die any time. Before the prisoners at the Mitsui coal mine regain their freedom they witness the Nagasaki atomic bomb. What happens after that earth-shaking event will surprise and delight you.
