Arcadis barely escaped the catacombs underneath Indianapolis. When he returns to his realm, he contracts a magical virus which will spell his doom. To further complicated matters, Arcadis is astounded when a being is able to easily defeat both he and Divinius at the same time. Divinius transports Arcadis to a realm to find a cure to the magical virus so they can mount an attack on the being that defeated them. But Arcadis never returns. Ten long years pass before the sorcerers are finally able to locate Arcadis. And when they find him, they find a changed man.
