The book provides an easy way to understanding the fundamentals of heat transfer. The following topics are presented: Introduction to heat transfer; basic law of conduction; heat transfer by convection, heat transfer by free convection; heat transfer by forced convection, heat transfer in boiling liquids and condensing vapours; thermal radiation; design of heat-exchange equipment; theory of models; transient conduction; and heat transfer application. In the simplest terms, the discipline of heat transfer is concerned with only two things: 'temperature' and the 'flow of heat'. Temperature represents the amount of thermal energy available, whereas heat flow represents the movement of thermal energy from place to place.
