In this second installment of the Gehenna Highway trilogy, Archer is in jeopardy of losing his control of Hell. Sara and Kate's escape alerted the attention of his father Abaddon. Abaddon has threatened to strip Archer of his control and turn it over to one of his two brothers, Azazel or Andramelech unless he retrieves the souls of Sara and Kate. Archer comes up with a plan to use their husbands. Mathew Larson is Kate's abusive husband, whose actions landed him in prison. While in prison, he was viciously attacked and lapsed into a coma. He woke up in Anneheg County hospital with complete memory loss and was greeted by an agent of Archer's named Trent Edison. Trent tells him that his name is Victor Roth and that he's a billionaire with a beautiful mansion in Sedah City. Meanwhile, Archer sends Ray's soul back to the third dimension to enter Mathew's body with a mission to find Sara and Kate and kill them.
