THE NATIVITY OF JESUS, written by Father Chester Fabisiak, SJ, is a joyful Christmas play. This play, like most of his pastoral teaching, delivers a strong advisory, a warning about evil's persistent deceptive activities. The devil's mission is to bring real horror to the world - to create confusion, the illusion of abandonment by God, or the belief that God is absent. The play gently depicts the devil's persistent lurking, which creates chaos and sorrow in those innocent souls to be devoured later. On the Highest first Christmas night, before the most joyful first Christmas, the council of devils is working exceptionally hard. However, with the help of angels, their lousy tricks are revealed and thwarted in time for the joy of Christmas to fill all hearts.
