Unbeknownst to the general populace, a world changing event is about to herald in the near apocalypse. A violent viral outbreak in the metropolitan city of Miami, Florida, turns many of its people into aggressive feral humans. As this unfolds, Frank Walker is 200 miles away in St. Petersburg struggling with alcoholism and near-estrangement from his family.
