On his way to visit his son's family in Montana, James Riley's journey west is abruptly derailed by a train wreck. A retired Union Army officer-turned bounty hunter, and a middle aged southern woman looking to start her life over, are the only other survivors. As the three struggle to make their way to safety, the party is mysteriously pursued by a renegade band of Sioux. What starts out to be a trek to escape the wilderness, suddenly evolves into a journey that offers a much greater salvation.
