Home from the battlefields of the Caucasus, Dima is stuck in a dead end job in Moscow and with dim prospects for his future. One day, though, an e-mail from an old army friend and an offer of work in Chicago change all that. First an American job. Then an American girlfriend. A decent car and apartment and life finally begins looking up. However, as Dima gets thrust into a war with a violent street gang and into the trade in African blood diamonds, he starts to wonder just where will this American Dream take him.
