A Stormy Beginning Grahame Moore

Gizelle came from Sweden. She worked her way around Australia picking fruit. On a stormy night, she is thrown together with Colin, a handsome young farmer. They fall in love, and all goes well until she is raped by an itinerant farm worker. She carries his baby not telling her husband of her misadventure. They raise the girl Svetta till she is fourteen, then the son of her rapist returns to finish the job his father could not. He murders Gizelle, but she gets even when she cuts his throat just before she dies. This story tells of life of the land, and the strong friendship between Colin and his bestfriend Cyril, an aboriginal man. Svetta grows into a beautiful woman and becomes the Lady of "Belonga-Harvey Homestead". This is her story.
