Q: What's your book about? A: Generally, it's a self-love journey. Specifically, Wonderfully Gracious Woman, is a must needed conversation I had to have with myself. Instead of being stuck in a rut with my own pity, I needed to face the harsh reality of what I truly wanted for my own well being. Every night for over a year, I would either type or write away. Letting my pen flow and take charge. The topics I wrote about are not just based off of heartbreak, for I talk about mental health, body image, finding self, et cetera. I realize as I'm typing this that some people might not understand the concept of my book or why I separated it into parts the way I did. I wanted it to be some sort of timeline. To get over anything, it takes time, so I wanted to show poem by poem and page by page the patience of waiting for everything falling into place. Even if I did write it for my own healing, I published it because I know there's some people out there that might need it. They might need the messages it sends out. They might need a guiding hand as they cry themselves to sleep. A person who has gone through shit might just need to know that there is someone out there who went through hell as well. They might just need a reminder that their pain is temporary. Or maybe they just want to know their pain is valid. Maybe they need to know whatever they went through is valid. Something we all need to know in our lifetime: our experiences, memories, emotions, pain, and perseverances are all valid. Publishing this book was pretty scary and exciting because I didn't know how people would respond, but I wanted to share my art with the world. I hope it receives my book with open arms because this is all I really want in life. May I be blessed to thrive on a dream. - Miranda Morales Espinosa
