More Than Mere Friends is the story of four young African-American friends - three females, one male - drug addicts who have lived a selfish life without respect to God. The female friends support their habits mainly through prostitution while their male friend hovers in the background. Through a series of extra-ordinary events they come upon legal business opportunities available to them that could lead to a better way of life away from drugs and into the loving arms of Jesus. Along the way there develops a HIV/AIDS predicament among them. Being in the sex trade the friends fear a ripple, epidemic effect could produce drastic results in their circle causing them to question if God is for real. And if so is He a loving, caring God? These friends hear the voice of God calling them to meet Jesus. Will they respond before the possibility of AIDS overwhelms them?
