After helping Jeb collect his gold from the Hidden Valley and safely transport it to Sturgis, Tom Abernethy, called The Preacher by friend and foe alike, still yearns for solitude in the wilderness but will spend the winter with the Aims Family on the Lucky L. Ranch. What he finds when he arrives is not what he expected. Instead he finds danger in the person of Thomas G.
