While having fun, a valuable lesson is learned in the fourth book of the "Crystal City" series. Carmella and Sam, both seven years old, and Max who is five years old, are best friends who just happen to be cousins. With the help of an unlikely friend who can fly, they go up above the clouds to a city made of crystals. On this visit, they are told to bring their parents. Once there, they are met by a wise and beautiful lady who appears to be surrounded by white light. She takes them to a room with two children painted on the door. Carmella, Sam and Max are happy to find out that their parents are allowed to go into the room with them. Carmella and her mommy are the first to go inside. Sam and Max see what happens and can't wait to go inside the room with their parents. When the children and parents are ready to leave, the beautiful lady imparts a bit of wisdom to the children about the lesson they learned in the "Kids Only Room".
