Jenny is back again - in Scotland - going to the last UK Outlander Gathering, driving herself up to spend days on Orkney during the Folk Music Festival, listening to ancient tales told by a peat fire, pressing her hands onto circles of stones, catching numerous ferries out to distant islands, and sampling the sights, tastes, and sounds of the Highlands. She lunches with authors, cycles alongside the Clyde, and stays in a remote thatched croft on Uist. It is all written in a charming, light-hearted fashion, with notes on costs, times, distances all noted to be as much help to other travellers as possible.
