OUT OF LEFT FIELD Damaged divorcee and retired teacher Keith Padgett receives an unexpected friend request from Russell Kiske, an old little league teammate he hasn't heard from in forty-five years. Overcoming his natural reclusiveness, Keith accepts the friend request and the two old comrades soon reconnect in person. But peculiar behavior and mysterious gaps in Russell's memory make Keith begin to wonder about Russell's true motives. As events get progressively more bizarre, Keith finds himself involved in a high-stakes game he doesn't understand, against players that are way out of his league.
