Not all angels are sent to soothe fears and protect. They are sent to light a fire under stubborn souls to force them out of their mental and spiritual ruts. Instead of saying "Fear Not" they start out with "Pay attention!" They take many forms to get that attention, like a child, a bag lady, a grim reaper (Not THE Grim Reaper, he explains), or just a nice lady in a very bad place. A fearful soul, a self-absorbed housewife and mother, a young cancer patient, and a pastor all discover that God has more than one way to change their attitudes, especially when they are willfully blind. They cannot hide from God, especially when He has plans for them.
